OUR BELIEFS
1. We are Christians; Simply put, we distinguish ourselves from other world religions by declaring our exclusive faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, as espoused in The Bible; God's Word as well as in the historic creeds and confessions of the first century Christian church (John 3:5; Romans 10:9-13.)
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is the final authority for Faith and Practice.
2. We are Evangelicals; Many terms hold multiple definitions, and as such, it is necessary to clarify what is meant when a term is used. In using the term "Evangelical" we do not intend to describe a denominational group or a political voting group. Instead, we appeal to the etymological roots of the terms so that by invoking it we describe ourselves as bearers of the Good News of Jesus. Historically, evangelicals emerged in force during the early 20th century, and we believe this expression of the Christian faith accurately recaptured the fundamentals of the faith. As such, we hold the following:
We believe that there is one God, Who eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in Salvation by Grace through faith in The Lord Jesus Christ alone; and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for sinful mankind to be saved.
We believe in the Present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling will enabled the Christian to live a godly and victorious life over the world, the flesh and the devil.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe that Love, Respect, and Spiritual Unity is essential for God's people to fulfill the Great Commission and to Advance God's Kingdom Agenda.
3. We are Autonomous; It is our desire as a ministry to respect the individuality and uniqueness of every ministry that is a part of our organization whether they are a church or para-church ministry; as long as it upholds to our collective identity and beliefs.
As a group of independent self-governing local, national and international ministries; we believe that each ministry, among other things, selects its own leadership, determines its financial matters and directs other ministry-related affairs without our control or supervision.
We believe, for another organization to attempt to exercise control over an individual ministry is to violate a basic conviction about our polity. However, we do believe the Bible is the final authority for faith and practice for believers, and that we have the responsibility to confront and even dis-fellowship any one who is not living up to biblical, ethical standards.
